Hi, I'm Jen
Thank you so much for visiting A Place 2 Call Home. I am a 27 year old wife and stay at home mother. I blog for my own sanity. I became really obsessed with design when my husband and I first moved in together, a whole new world was opened up to me. Now that I am a stay at home mom, I really focus on cleaning, organizing and decorating my home. I love reading about all things home related, and so naturally after years of reading blogs, decided to start my own. Thank you so much for taking the time to read, follow and comment, it really means the world to me.
And now 30 pretty random facts about me
- I was born in Scotland and lived there until I was 7 years old. I have 2 accents the Scottish one, and the American one.
- My family moved to the USA to NJ, but I have also lived in PA, GA, and now live in NY
- My daughter makes me believe that god must be real
- My husband and I had crushes on each other for about 6 months, and neither of us knew it.

- I believe I would be a fantastic employee at the paint department, paint = possibility

Hi Jen, I totally feel like I was reading a list about myself! We have so much in common and I wish we lived closer to eachother so I could be your shopping partner in crime :) I love the way you have decorated your home and I thoroughly enjoy reading your blog. Hope you have an awesome weekend!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Amanda, I totally felt like I was reading a list about myself! LOL. 2 things....I grew up in Long Island and now live in CT...so we are pretty close. And, my favorite is #14...almost made me tear up! So cute :)
ReplyDeletethis was so much fun to read, and i also feel like we have a lot in common! i was married at 25, and my son was born on my 27th bday... i am older than you (33 now), but i felt the same way- where i should be and so happy to be married and starting a family before most of my friends.
ReplyDeleteand i lay in bed thinking of things i want to do to the house, etc.... so i am right there with ya!
and i would love to come shop with you. :)
what fun facts about you- I loved getting to know you a little bit better! I love what you said about knowing that you're right where you should be- beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm stalking your page now. ;)
ReplyDeleteI can so relate to not cooking and being unapologetic about it, about Pottery Barn Magazine being like porn (It's "This Old House" for me!), and about being rigid about some things and much free-er about others. I see a lot of similarities between us. :)
Good morning! I simply wanted to let you know that I enjoy reading your blog so much (Oh and love the new look too), so I've nominated you for the Liebster Blog <3 award. You have great taste and great tips for a tidy home, so I wanted to share that. Visit me @ www.sosimplerooms.blogspot.com to see how it works.

Ummmmm, I just write that list or did you?!?
ReplyDeleteSaw your blog over at Primitive and Proper and just had to come over.
I want a friend who lives near me and loves decorating as much as me, too. Then I wouldn't have to drag the hubs everywhere with me and pretend he's my decorating sidekick.
:)
OMG, I was reading your list, and going "that's me, and that's me" too funny!!! You and I seem to think alike :) I'm your newest follower! Stop by sometime!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your blog, I LOVE your style and everything about it. I feel like we have very similar styles. I also saw that you also like to read, what is your favorite magazines other than Pottery Barn, and what are your favorite books. I hope your break is going great. I am a Huge fan, enjoy:)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I laughed out loud when I read # 30- I feel the exact same way, although I do love Ballard Designs as well. We have so many things in common I felt as though I was reading a list about myself!! I wish I lived in NYC- we could totally be shopping buddies, but I now live in Arizona (originally from Boston, MA). I think your stuff is amazing!!!
